me talk pretty question

I only took one year of a foreign language all the way through my senior year of high school. I took German and I found myself talking mostly about German Table Tennis players and musicians. These things while being normal for me where very strange to most of my class mates. I would spend entire class sessions on explaining the rules of table tennis and the German program and why the Germans are better than us in table tennis. At first my love of table tennis and German table tennis players was attacked by my classmates as being weird and obsessive. Which I promptly told them was true and explained to them why they should be more like me. The teacher loved every minute of it and we discussed German history, which strangely never involved World War II. I even got my teacher to allow me to spend an entire class period talking about table tennis and I brought in a video of the German national team playing. I was a bit of a teacher's pet and was always not only on time but early. I finished that class with an A and I didn't do any of the homework assignments because the teacher told me I didn't have to do them. In a class where the homework counts for 20% of your overall grade I was bound to get an A. So the answer to the question is I have never had that experience in a language class and probably never will.
