  1. 1.I do not find the play dated because we have the same issues today as we did then. They are more talked about and even been addressed by local governments. The border towns of Texas are more likely to be faced with this issue a little more than we are up north. The play is not offensive to me but some my find it offensive because people are treated that way. I think it is a form of entertainment. Comedy is a good way to get a point across without offending as many people. I say this because people anticipate a little crude humor in comedy. It gets message across but to a limited audience.

2.I do think he aims to make the audience a little uncomfortable because I think it drives the message home clearer and faster.

3.I think that it is an effective weapon but with a short range. Like I said, only certain people like this form of entertainment. This is why the range to me would be short. Sometimes though the offensive stuff in things draws attention to the situation and opens the door to a new audience and increases the range of the weapon. It like taking away the armor that people put up limiting themselves to exposure to hazardous things.
